I think for many, this cycle was full of surprises.
The traditional 4 year cyclers and the alt season believers were shaken to the core.
Adoption came, but it did not come in the ways we expected.
Tokenization has shown that companies will move away from the dogma of Ethereum as the settlement network and deploy assets on chains that can scale and adapt to their needs.
- @avax $23m assets tokenized in 2024, it now holds $950m (primarily stablecoins and US Treasuries).
- @solana $54m in assets tokenized in 2024, it now holds $796m (from a variety of stablecoins).
- @0xPolygon had $33m in tokenized assets, now $877M.
You also have tokenized assets seeing significant growth despite the market.
- @Theo_Network' thBill now $260m in TVL (+17% MTD)
- @SuperstateInc's USCC grew to $660m/ USTB grew to $800M
- @PayPal' PYUSD has now minted over $3.4b tokens.
Unlike most of the highly cyclical crypto markets, tokenization will continue to grow at a breakneck speed.
We're not so early in crypto, but I believe we're still very early on asset tokenization as an investment thesis.
