After successfully purchasing a digital asset (such as USDT), the asset will enter your funding account. To trade your digital assets, you need to perform a Transfer to your trading account. There are no fees for internal fund transfers, and the assets are credited in real-time.

On the app

1. Go to Assets > Transfer > From: Funding; To: Trading

2. Select the Asset you want to transfer > Enter the amount > Select Confirm.

On the web

1. Visit our website at okx.com

2. Select Assets > Transfer

3. Select the Asset you want to transfer > From: Funding; To: Trading > Enter the amount > Transfer.

This will transfer your assets from your funding account to your trading account which allows you to experience more trade options.

Why can’t I transfer funds?

If you’re unable to transfer funds, it may be due to one of the following reasons:

1. Frozen assets

There’s no transfer limit for internal transfers between your funding account and trading account, or between a master account and sub-accounts.

If any of your assets are marked as frozen, you’ll need to unfreeze them before you can transfer.

2. Open positions in your trading account

If your trading account has open positions, you'll need to wait until the positions are closed before transferring funds.

If your profits exceed the required margin, you can transfer the available principal. However, the profit portion can only be transferred after the positions are fully closed.

3. Network deposit limit reached

If you’ve reached the network deposit limit, the use of excess funds may be restricted on the platform.

The restriction will be lifted in batches according to the platform’s daily limit.

4. Real-time settlement in futures trading

If the futures contract you’re trading has triggered the platform’s real-time settlement mechanism, fund transfers may be temporarily unavailable.

Note: if you have an active Earn subscription, please redeem the assets first before transferring funds.
