For anyone looking to play with YT positions on @solstice, there are two ways to go about it: • Passive player • Active player 1. Passive player: As a passive player, you buy your YT position and hold till maturity. For this method to be successful though, you need to be willing to bet that the rewards for burning your money till maturity will be worth more than if you had just held the cash as USX/eUSX or put it in LP. Simply put, if you believe the yield/rewards will be worth more than the money you'd lose by maturity, you buy YT and hold till maturity. Example: Let's say $100 in YT gives you 1000 flares. Buying $100 worth of YT is betting that 1000 flares would be worth more than $100 at TGE. 2. Active player: This is the guy who is constantly buying and selling YT based on the implied APY movements. APY go up, they sell their YT. APY go down, they buy. The advantage of this method is that you can make some money while earning the rewards (in this case flares). The challenge here, however, is that you need to know when to buy and sell YT. Different people have different strategies they use, but ultimately the movement of YT isn't really predictable. Another thing to note if you choose to go down the more active path, If the profit you'll make from selling (+ fees) isn't as high as what you'd have made in terms of flares, then it really isn't worth selling. Unfortunately, we don't know how flares will be valued and if there'd be any vesting on the token allocations. For me, i'm simply going to hold and stack more YT till close to maturity (got strategies to maximize points towards the end that i'll share later on)
