The NEAR community has just passed two economics proposals in House of Stake. These are the first two binding Decision proposals to successfully pass through the newly-launched House of Stake:
HSP-002: Validator Support Program
HSP-003: veNEAR Holder Rewards Program
These community-driven proposals from @gauntlet_xyz, @hotdao_, @LinearProtocol, and @meta_pool are designed to enhance NEAR’s long-term economics in combination with the recent halving upgrade by introducing rewards for smaller validators and incentivizing governance participation in House of Stake.
The Validator Support Program will implement an off-chain payment program covering Q4 2025 and does not modify NEAR protocol itself. Technical implementation details for the veNEAR Holder Rewards Program will be addressed in a subsequent proposal.
These proposals each reached the required quorum with over 2M NEAR locked and showcase the important role that House of Stake is now playing in the future of NEAR’s economic governance. House of Stake will continue to drive the decision-making process around economic parameters to strengthen incentive alignment across the NEAR ecosystem, keeping economic governance firmly community-driven.
